Great Lakes Attack Squadron is the Michigan chapter of Model Warship Combat Inc. The MWC is dedicated to the building and battling of radio-controlled 1/144th scale warships from World War 1 and 2. Using CO2 powered BB cannons, ships ranging from PT boats to battleships shoot holes in each other's hulls, eventually sinking (if the pump cant keep up...). The damage is easily repaired within minutes to return the ship to battle.

Results of 18SEP10 battle at Lakeside Campground. Ionia, MI.

Saturday 18SEP10 was the last battle of the 2010 season. Lakeside Campground closes 01OCT10. Our October battle is cancelled.

In March I will send out email to discuss the 2011 season schedule. Kas already expressed interest in attending the Farmington MO battle on Memorial Day weekend. There might be a road trip to Chris Au’s new house in Cleveland OH.

Saturday Morning

Will Cover returned to battle. The Pennsylvania held together the whole day making each sortie launch. The Pennsylvania electrical system is a little tough on batteries. It drained a single 12AHr battery each sortie. No smoke and the ship responded to each fresh battery installed.

Dave annoyed Kas and his son. I let Will shoot at me so he could test his ship. Nobody sank. We did not keep scores

NEW LOCATION!!!!

Location is Lakeside Campground. Ionia, MI. Exit 67 off I96.

We cleared 60 feet of shoreline. Four openings to launch our ships. The ground slopes into the water. No dropoff edge like the E. Lansing pond. No launching docks. You will step into the water to launch.

Ionia battle is rescheduled to Sunday 15MAY11

Sunday 15MAY battle with the Buckeye Battle Squadron is cancelled due to tornado damage in their area.
